About the project

Museum of Lies is a creative project exploring new forms of public participation and engagment with museum collections.

The work was developed in collaboration with a small group of school children who explored a range of National Museum Wales sites and collections. The group then created a range of fictional stories using museum objects as a point of departure. The exhibition shares these fictions alongside the actual museum objects that inspired them.

Those seeking an entry point into the story should start with the The Senghenydd Crate or the introductory video.

Museum of Lies is an Incidental project.
